Knife Sharpening Adventures
One of the pleasures of sharpening knives is meeting new people. Today I sharpened knives for two retired archaeologists. It was fun to see their knives brought back to their former glory. The treat was I was invited to listen to some renown archaeology lectures in the future :)

Capability
I can sharpen to a precise angle with diamond, ceramic or Chosera stones to as fine as .125 micron.
Hello
Hello,
Happy New Year! I have started a new hobby of hand sharpening
knives with a very precise system.
Well, my knives are now sharp and I thoroughly enjoyed sharpening
them. I need some more knives to
sharpen!
As far as I am concerned, the duller the knife the more fun it is to see it brought back to prime condition.
As far as I am concerned, the duller the knife the more fun it is to see it brought back to prime condition.
I am willing to come by your house, pick-up your knives and
return them to you sharp the same day.
It takes me about 15 minutes per knife working through a variety of
stone grits. First sharpening of any
knife is free. I cannot yet do scissors,
serrated knives or chisels. I am happy
to sharpen 2 or 3 knives for you for free.
Ultimately, I may charge a little ($3-$5 per knife) for a subsequent
sharpening request to pay for the wear and tear on the stones. For now, I get the exercise and the enjoyment
of seeing a knife become sharp and benefiting a neighbor J Don’t worry, I am not
selling anything. I am a happy in my
current career. Just let me know if you
need another sharpening.
I have already sharpened one of our neighbor’s knives. He had a couple of dull knives in his
trailer. It was great to see them respond
to the stones.
His quote: “I could shave with those now!”
Just e-mail me at devonshire.cutler@gmail.com or
call me on my cell at 971-219-4261 and we can arrange a free sharpening.
Wishing you a great new year for you and your knife in your
kitchen!
Jim
